“We want to create something that people will still be talking about long after the conference is over.”

Their vision? A fun, immersive activity that would break the mold of traditional conference sessions and ignite curiosity and conversation among attendees. They had an initial concept in mind—a DaVinci-themed escape room, complete with physical props, riddles, and puzzles. But they wanted to take it a step further:

  • Blend the physical escape room with a digital experience.
  • Create a unified theme that connects both worlds.
  • Inject an engaging storyline tied to their core focus—respiratory health.

 

CHEST’s goal wasn’t just to entertain—it was to spark creativity, foster connection, and subtly reinforce key concepts about asthma in an unforgettable way.

The DaVinci Game

Inspired by the intrigue and mystery surrounding Leonardo da Vinci, we set out to create something truly captivating—a serious game that effortlessly blended both physical and digital experiences. Imagine, hidden deep within a Florentine mansion, a secret sanctum once belonging to DaVinci himself is uncovered. Inside, a cryptic relic awaits discovery, whispered to hold the ancient remedy for asthma’s relentless grip.

But the adventure didn’t stop there. We extended the story into the digital world, crafting an immersive counterpart in Articulate Storyline. With rich, dramatic visuals powered by MidJourney AI, the digital experience invited participants to solve interactive puzzles, piece together disease states through drag-and-drop activities, and uncover hidden clues that connected back to the physical escape room.

This wasn’t just about cracking codes—it was about sparking curiosity, firing up different parts of the brain, and creating memorable emotional hooks that stick with people long after they’ve played. By weaving together creativity, playfulness, and learning, CHEST positioned itself as an organization that embraces innovation and encourages people to think in new and unexpected ways.
