Overview

This privacy policy exists to ensure any person involved with ttcInnovations (‘the company’) understands and has easy reference to how the company gathers, stores, and uses their information.  It is also to provide a place that they can reference their rights regarding their information and data protection.

All information collected by the company is to help us provide the best client, customer and contractor experience that we can.  These three experiences are the categories used to breakdown the information we collect.

Who Collects Information

DW Training & Development, Inc (dba. ttcInnovations) is the data controller responsible for how your data is managed and for complying with legal obligations under GDPR.  The company can be contacted with the information below for all questions, comment or complaints regarding our privacy policy.

How Information is Collected

ttcInnovations collects information based on the involvement of the person with the company (client, customer, contractor).  We collect information each time a person is in contact with us, for example:

  • visiting our website (using cookies);
  • communicate with ttcInnovations by email, telephone, Skype, social media or other communication methods;
  • register for a webinar or other company event, whether online or in person;
  • apply to a requisition or to be part of our team in some other way;
  • supply details to opt in for marketing content or to be contacted by the company;
  • become a ttcInnovations employee or contractor, or client;
  • comply with background screening processes;
  • complete forms and documentation sent to you by ttcInnovations;
  • face to face meetings with ttcInnovations employees and contractors;
  • purchase goods or services;
  • access social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn

What Information is Collected

The type of information the company collects is also based on the involvement of the person with the company.  This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • personal details such as your title, name and date of birth;
  • contact details such as business and postal address, post code, email, mobile and telephone numbers;
  • information collected by website cookies for data tracking and analytics;
  • financial information such as direct deposit details and some payment information;
  • emergency contact details;
  • non-financial information such as citizenship & residency documents, and financial information such as salary/payment records, tax forms and numbers (i.e. SSN/EIN);
  • business information such as Articles of Incorporation or Organization, Business Continuity Plan and business insurance;
  • employee data such as resumes, qualifications, education, languages and experience;
  • records of your contact with us;
  • photographs provided by you or taken at ttcInnovations events;

Sensitive/Special Category Personal Information

  • criminal conviction data from background screening reports;
  • data regarding ethnicity and sexual preference (only for use in ttcInnovations’ Supplier Diversity Program)

How Information is Used

We collect information for a variety of uses, depending on the involvement of the person.  Sometimes we are required by law and regulations, and at other times we consider it is in our legitimate interest to collect and process information.

Every person’s information will be dealt with in accordance with data protection laws. It is never sold, nor given away. It is only shared with others where consent has been given or where it is permitted or required either contractually or legally.  Information may be shared with third-party services depending on the type of data.  We will not use personal information for any other purpose without first seeking the person’s consent, unless authorized or required by law.

Generally, uses of personal information are for:

  • keeping people involved with ttcInnovations informed of events, resources, updates and services the company offers;
  • promoting the interests of the company;
  • data tracking and analytic information;
  • communication;
  • providing or collecting payment;
  • compliance with tax and employments laws;
  • fulfilling contractual relationships;
  • protection for auditing purposes;
  • internal & external recognition of ttcInnovations team members;
  • management and administration of the company

The legal basis for collecting information

We will collect information only where we have a legal basis to do so.  The legal basis depends of the type of information, but in almost all circumstances will be:

  • where the company has received consent to use a person’s information for a particular purpose;
  • when a contract between the company and a person or other entity has been agreed to, or where the company has asked for specific steps to be taken before entering into a contract;
  • legal obligation (where it is necessary to comply with laws);
  • the legitimate interests of the company to use information to provide and improve services and client, customer, contractor experience;
  • to process special category information relevant to the company’s Supplier Diversity Program (in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws)

Where Information is Stored and Who Sees it

A person’s information will be stored electronically on secure, third party, cloud-based servers.  Where information has been collected in paper form, it will be transferred to electronic storage, or stored in secure, physical filing systems.  Information is given access to sparingly, and only by necessity to achieve the previously mentioned purposes, by ttcInnovations employees, contractors or third-party services.  These parties will only use information for purposes stated above.  Third party services are used to execute above-stated purposes including (but not limited to), collecting and distributing payments, email communication, analytics, and processing information.  These services individually maintain compliance with data protection laws.  Please contact ttcInnovations for more information regarding the third-party services we use and their privacy policies.

ttcInnovations stores information only as long as it is required and in accordance with the law and other legal requirements.

Links and Social Media

The ttcInnovations website may include links to other websites or may provide social media buttons, permitting sharing web content directly to a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and YouTube.

We do not endorse social media website(s) and have no responsibility for the content unless posted by or approved by us nor are we responsible for the cookies such websites may contain.

Use of such buttons or links is at the individuals own risk and they must verify authenticity of sites before posting or providing personal information on such sites.

We do not ask for passwords or personal details on social media.

Embedded links and third-party service providers may send their own cookies via the ttcInnovations website.

Downloads

Any documents or files made available to download from our website are provided at users’ own risk.

Cookies

Cookies are small amounts of information that are stored on an individual’s computer.  Our system will issue cookies to a computer when our site is accessed.  Cookies make it easier for our site to be used.  They also help to monitor website traffic and to personalise the content of the site but will not store, save or collect personal information.  An individual may set up their computer to reject cookies although, in that case, certain features of our website may not function as designed.

Transfer to Other Countries

ttcInnovations stores and processes information on cloud-based servers, however parties (including third party services) accessing information may be located in countries other than your country of residence (including outside the EU).  Information may therefore be subject to privacy laws that are different from those in your country of residence. ttcInnovations will process your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Individual Rights

Where consent has been provided to us for processing information, it may be withdrawn at any time.

In addition, the law gives the right, under certain circumstances for an individual:

  • to request in writing and securely obtain copies of the information the company holds about themselves;
  • to correct or update their information held by us;
  • to request us to stop using their personal information for marketing purposes or for any other purpose where there is no legal requirement for continued processing;
  • to object to profiling activities;
  • to request to have all personal data deleted (in the European Union only)

Please contact ttcInnovations as soon as any of your contact details change so that records can be kept up to date.

We will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information, which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please contact the company and wherever practicable that information will be deleted.

A request to access, amend or delete your personal information may be refused in certain circumstances. If refused, you will be provided with a reason for the decision and, in the case of amendment, will note with your personal information that its accuracy is disputed.
